About the tour
The leatherback turtle is endangered, so Las Baulas Marine National Park stays closed during this season to protect it. That is why we do the tour at Playa Minas or Playa Jesús, where you can see turtles nesting: mostly olive ridley and black turtles, sometimes hawksbills and, occasionally, leatherbacks. We pick you up in Tamarindo at 5:30 pm. The length of the tour varies. If we do not see turtles, we reschedule the tour for the next night or make it up to you with the estuary tour.
